Drew Simpson is a 35-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. For the past 16 years, he has been a Regional Council staff member and currently serves as Regional Manager for the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC), where he oversees 60 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties with offices in Scranton, Lebanon, Duncansville, and Pittsburgh. Drew is in his first term as President of the EASRCC and holds the role of Delegate to the Council and Warden for Local 445.
He recently completed a 2-year term on the PA State Task Force for Misclassification of Employees. Drew actively contributes to various boards, including the Scranton Parking Authority, Lackawanna County Workforce Development Board, Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Skills in Scranton, and United Way of Lackawanna, Wayne & Pike Counties. Born and raised in Laurel Springs, New Jersey, Drew graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida, and attended the University of Kentucky on a wrestling scholarship.
Before his 4-year carpenter apprenticeship, Drew worked as a chef at Disney World. Drew has lived in Scranton, PA for nearly 40 years and he and his wife Dawn have two children.
