The Scholarship Fund Golf Outing is a special time of year for our union. It is a time where we are all able to come together to provide support and assistance to those who are the backbone of our council. Our members and their union families are why we get up every morning and fight for market share and workers’ rights. The long hours to support their families and their families futures is what being a union carpenter is all about. The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters recognizes this and looks for more and more ways to give back.

On this day, we’re here for those members that gave us their all, we’re here for their families and we’re here to provide them with the funds to get them into the college of their choice. The Eastern Atlantic States Scholarship Fund, (formerly the George H. Laufenberg Scholarship Fund) in existence since 1996, has been instrumental in developing the children and grandchildren of union carpenters.

This fund allows these children to follow their dreams and we are extremely supportive of everything they choose to do. They may not be following in the footsteps of their parents into the union, but we are incredibly grateful and proud to provide assistance to their future. We know they will take the union values of their parents or grandparents into whatever field they choose.

Your support today will be used directly to provide yearly and one-time academic scholarships to the children and grandchildren of our members of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. Any donation given will go a long way and we are forever grateful. Regardless of size, these donations will make a huge difference in someone’s life.
