James Hocker has been a carpenter for more than two decades and currently serves as Regional Manager at the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC) for Southeastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia where he oversees employee performance, provides coaching, and manages a team of more than 20. James also serves his union as a Trustee of the college-accredited Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical School, and as an Executive Board Member for the Council.
As a Senior Council Representative, Council Representative, and a Journeyman Carpenter, James collaborated on large-scale construction projects, including the 2016 Democratic National Convention where he worked to coordinate the setup on behalf of the Carpenters Union. James, a second-generation carpenter, lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.
