In his role as Chief of Staff at the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC), Ray oversees the organization’s policies and day-to-day operations, manages collective bargaining agreements, and works on expanding work opportunities for over 43,000 union members across several trade groups. Ray also serves as a fiduciary on multiple pensions, health & welfare, annuity, and apprentice funds totaling over $8B.
Ray is a former International Representative for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America working in various markets across the United States increasing union market share. He has also helped to oversee and facilitate two large mergers and dissolutions of various Councils and Local unions. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Ray joined the union in 1987 and has held various roles, notably overseeing maintenance and construction at the World Trade Center.
He and his wife Lisa enjoy spending time with their family, attending their grandchildren’s events, and outdoor activities.
