Shame on Georgetown University

The underground economy in the construction industry is rampant in the District of Columbia, and construction at Georgetown University is not immune. Leaders at Georgetown have never had a good record when it came to workers’ rights. They talk the talk, but when it comes down to it has refused to implement responsible contractor language that can prevent construction workers who work on campus construction sites from being victimized by labor brokers who will misclassify workers and steal their hard-earned wages.

We need the leaders at Georgetown to stand up for local workers. Georgetown should be a leader in our community. I am asking you to commit to responsible contractor language now!
