Shame on Virginia Military Institute
The underground economy in the construction industry is rampant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and construction at the Virginia Military Institute is not immune. Yet, leaders at VMI have refused to implement responsible contractor language that can prevent construction workers who work on campus construction sites from being victimized by labor brokers who will misclassify workers and steal their hard earned wages.
We need the leaders at VMI to stand up for local workers. VMI is a leader in our community and state and need to act like one. I am asking you to commit to responsible contractor language now!
