Pittsburgh, PA, October 7, 2024 – The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EAS Carpenters Union) welcomed Senators Casey and Klobuchar to the Pittsburgh Training Center on September 30. The visit underscores their ongoing commitment to vocational training and the advancement of skilled labor in Pennsylvania.

The event began with inspiring opening remarks from members of EAS Carpenters Union leadership team. Following the leadership remarks, Senator Casey addressed the attendees, sharing his insights and perspectives and voicing his support for union workers and how he will continue to fight for them.
“Visiting the Training Center and witnessing the invaluable efforts of the EAS Carpenters Union in expanding our workforce of highly skilled union workers was a truly inspiring experience,” said Senator Casey. “The skill and dedication these carpenters bring are pivotal to maintaining our status as the greatest country in the world; their work empowers not just the industry, but the nation as a whole.”
During the event, Senators Casey and Klobuchar engaged in a meet-and-greet session with members of the council and a tour of the Training Center, where the senators were able to observe firsthand the state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive training programs that prepare our members for successful careers in carpentry.
