Treasurer Stacy Garrity Endorsed by Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters 

Endorsement Underscores Shared Commitment to Enhancing Job Opportunities and Strengthening Infrastructure

Harrisburg, PA, September 19, 2024 – Today, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EAS Carpenters Union) is proud to announce their endorsement for Treasurer Stacy Garrity for her re-election campaign as Pennsylvania Treasurer. This endorsement reflects the strong alliance and shared values between Treasurer Garrity and the hardworking men and women of the carpenters’ union. 

“Pennsylvania has a rich history of hardworking families who deserve leaders like Treasurer Garrity, who is committed to enhancing economic opportunities and community well-being,” said William C. Sproule, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. “Supporting campaigns like Treasurer Garrity’s is vital for our union as we work together to improve our communities by expanding job opportunities for Pennsylvania residents and fortifying the infrastructure we all depend on. It’s about ensuring that working-class families receive fair wages, quality benefits, and safe working conditions, which are fundamental rights we must protect. An investment in infrastructure should also include an investment in our workforce, and by working with leaders like Treasurer Garrity, we can protect fair standards and support working families.” 

The EAS Carpenters Union represents thousands of skilled carpenters across Pennsylvania who contribute significantly to the state’s infrastructure and development. A testament to this shared commitment is the $25 million investment in the Ullico Infrastructure Fund, which Treasurer Garrity has championed. This investment underscores a shared vision of economic vitality and long-term stability, where the infrastructure projects directly translate to better job opportunities and improved living standards for union members and the broader community.
